Esra Olcay, born in 1988, graduated from Newport I.U. Computer Engineering as well as Anadolu University, Department of Business Administration. In 2010, she started to take Islamic Calligraphy and illumination lessons from Ayten Tiryaki and received her ijazah (authorisation) in illumination in 2018. The artist, who participated in many group exhibitions with her works, still continues her works in Tiryakiart workshop.
